“Books of Local Interest”
Open Kimono Books, an independent publisher in Morristown, has released its first book, “Upcountry,” by R.M. Doyon. The novel is set in upstate New York and concerns 39-year-old Jane Schumacher, who is press secretary to the governor of New York, the leading contender for the presidency. Mr. Doyon lives in Ottawa and has a summer home in Morristown. He has been a journalist, writer, publicist and entrepreneur for more than three decades. He began his career with the Ottawa Citizen before serving as a political reporter and Parliamentary Bureau Chief for United Press International. The book sells for $15.95 and is available at online bookstores and at www.upcountry-the-novel.com.
